This fall I have had the opportunity to take pictures for some families for their Christmas cards. I have learned very quickly what a big responsibility it is to try to put together what I have learned in the past few months about photography when it really counts! I have great respect for all you true professionals out there!! I have picked two of my favorites...
This first adorable child was probably my biggest challenge. In a good way! She is high energy, spirited, and so much fun.... But, literally on the move, all the time... Next time I take her picture I am going on sport mode! I definitely had my shutter speed to slow on many of her shots, which of course led to blur, in some cases. I wanted the soft backgrounds with her, but very hard to manage (for me) with a busy little girl!

Next, I have the beautiful, Miss E. She is the blonde, blue eyed twin. Her sister is the total opposite, and it was so fun to take their pictures... Even though this coat says "winter" all over it, we had a gorgeous fall day for this shoot. I love everything about the colors here!

Oh my word Diana, FABULOUS job on both of these!! Congratulations on your shoots - you really captured both of these girls so well - their personalities and their inner beauty just come shining through in these portraits!! I love the motion in the first - you can definitely tell this is a girl on the move!! And in the second, how gorgeous is her face surrounded by all that fur!! I love the colors in both shots.
