That, and it's really cold outside.

I like this one because it was spur of the moment, the kids were so excited to finally get to go on the 'wagon ride' out to the apple orchard. We could have walked, but it was worth the few bucks just to see the expressions on their faces.

This one was not so spur of the moment. We'd had such a great day, the kids had been able to run and cavort and gallivant. But momma wanted a picture. So we plopped them all down. And everyone was just too worn out to give me some cheese.
So daddy had to pull out his never-fail trick: he bends over and acts like a monkey, scratching his bootie. And sometimes he jumps around for good measure.
Say what you will. But it actually works :)

Such gorgeous pictures! Those smiles are priceless! I will have to get my husband to try that same tactic! Love the story!
Love the pictures, and I noticed ~ Gymboree clothes again!! ;) My Sadie has the same outfit as Isabelle is wearing!
Ooooohhh... I LOVE these!!! And Chris doing his little monkey/booty dance... hilarious. Beautiful photos, Stefanie!!
Love the pictures! So crisp and clean! :)
Do you shoot in RAW?
No, I don't shoot in RAW... maybe someday :)
Thanks, though!!
Great pictures!
I love that your husband scratched his butt to get a smile...it makes me feel better about some of the ridiculous things I do to get one!
These are BEAUTIFUL Stef!! Wow, so crisp and clear - you can actually *feel* the cool fall air!! I love the depth of field in the first - you can still make out each person's face, but it's just the kids in focus who are looking at the camera. It just works so well!! GREAT color in that one!! And in the second - I am just cracking up imagining your husband - LOL!! Well, if it works... right!!?? :) Beautiful work Stef!

What a sweet family! Wonderful job getting them all to smile together...whatever it takes! Love these!
They are both adorable and I am so glad that my husband is not the only one who does that for me:)
Great shots. I can't seem to get one kid to do what I want in front of the camera, so the fact that you can get all your kids to smile, amazes me!
I love both of these Stephanie...and I will have to tell Jeff about the monkey dance!
Gorgeous pictures! You can feel the joy and I just love that!
Beautiful photos! The focus and clarity are wonderful. You have a lovely family!
Great photos! Even sweeter are those smiles:))
Don't ya love your D90? I think your the only other photog I know that has one! If you get a chance try out the nikkor 35/1.8 great clarity and slightly wider angle for group shots. Not a bad price either!
Thanks for sharing.
